Anna I. Moroney

July 10, 1965 - April 10, 2021



Anna I. Moroney, 55, of Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.


Born in Honolulu Hawaii, she was the child of a career Navy Veteran and lived in many places throughout the United States, settling in Connecticut for over 20 years. For the last 14 years she resided in Virginia. Anna enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, tattoos, and going to Rock and Country music concerts. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. But most of all she loved her sons and enjoyed any time that was spent with her family.


Daughter of the late Betty (Chung) Hughes; and sister of the late Father Richard Chung; she is survived by her father, Walter Hughes; sons, Jacob (Alison) Moroney, and Bryan (Carly) Moroney; brothers, Aaron Hughes and partner Karyn Barrows, and David Hughes and wife Mary; her cousin Joyce Brown who cared for her during her illness; nephews, Nicholas and Alex Hughes; niece Mikaela Hughes, and grandnephew Myles whom she adored, as well as many other relatives and dear friends and neighbors.


Funeral services will be held Friday, April 16, 2021 from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, with the Rev. Scott Turansky of Calvary Chapel in Robbinsville. officiating.


Visitation for family and friends will be 11:00am until time of service at the Yardville Memorial Home.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
