Barry C Loda

July 18, 1950 - March 4, 2019

Barry C. Loda, 68, of Hamilton Township, passed away on Monday in Compassionate Care Hospice at RWJ Hospital Hamilton with his loving wife by his side.

Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton area resident growing up in Bordentown.

Barry was a very proud Marine who served one tour of duty in Vietnam. He retired from the State on New Jersey, Department of Treasury after 23 years of service. While working for the state, Barry was always mindful of his staff and took great pride in their teamwork and achievements. In his younger years growing up in Bordentown he enjoyed his trips to the “big city” of Trenton, where he enjoyed going to the movies and visiting the many stores Trenton had to offer. Barry was a simple yet sensitive man who did not need many of the modern conveniences of this day and time. He did not have a smart phone or have much use for the computers. Barry had a quick wit and good sense of humor. He enjoyed reading, trivia, Turner Movie Classics, attending mass at St. Vincent DePaul Church. Most of all he was a loving husband, always caring for his wife and family. He also was always very mindful of the poor and needy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Son of the late Ceaser and Katherine Widenbach Loda, brother of the late Terry Loda, Jeffrey Loda, and Jerry LaGeorgia, he is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Theresa M. Sesini Loda; three sisters-in-laws, Rosemary Marcienkewicz, Christine Lawrence, and Catherine Haines and her spouse Robert; dear friends, Tom and Susan Simpson; several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
