Cynthia M. Zimmer, 63, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 28, 2020.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton area resident. She graduated in 1975 from Notre Dame High School, and Mercer County Technical School where she received her LPN. Cindy worked at Leonard’s Hurry Back Inn for many years where she met her husband Ron. She worked at Rosehill Assisted Living and then went on to work at Ashfield Healthcare. In her spare time, Cindy loved Penguins, enjoyed going to Point Pleasant Beach, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents, Charles F. and M. Dorothy (Corso) Whalen, she is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Ronald Zimmer; her children, Erin (Jim) Harris, Richard J. (Amanda) Rogers, Michael Rogers (Emme Lambert), and Kimberly Zimmer; her siblings, Charles “Chuddy” (Susan) Whalen, Jim (Nancy) Whalen, Susan (Glenn) Forney, and Chris (Stacey) Whalen; grandchildren, Arya Rogers, Kayden Rogers, Ayden Lambert and soon to be Savannah Rae Rogers; many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and neighbors.
A brief prayer service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 8:00pm at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Entombment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
