John H. Johnson III, “Jack”, 65, of Trenton, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020
Born in Trenton, and raised in Ewing Twp., he was a lifelong Trenton area resident.
John worked as a Senior Corrections Officer at the New Jersey State Prison for 30 years, retiring in 2012. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, his favorite teams were the Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers. John enjoyed listening to music, especially Rock-n-Roll. He loved the shore and going to the Boardwalk with his family.
He was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, and grandfather and uncle who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by his father, John H. Johnson, II, and his wife, Mary E. Holt Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Catherine Walsh Johnson; three children, John Johnson IV and his wife Melissa, Albert Johnson and his wife Estelle, and Ashley Johnson; eleven grandchildren, Thomas, Jayden, Albert, Elijah, Olivia, Angelo, Anaiya, John V, Jaxx, Alanzo, and Jahsina; sister, Kathleen Johnson; nephew Matthew Zegarski as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
Relatives and friends may attend a visitation on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 8:30am until 10:30am with a Catholic prayer service at 10:30am at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville.
Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
