Lee Lugossy

December 7, 1938 - October 8, 2019

Helen “Lee” Lugossy, 80, of Hamilton passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at the Greenwood House in Ewing Township.


Born in Trenton, Lee as she was known by friends and family was raised in the Pennington/ Hopewell Township area. She graduated from Central High School of Hopewell Township and then attended Temple University. She met and then married her husband Gil on May 22, 1965 at St. James Church in Pennington. Lee worked at RCA-Sarnoff Center in Princeton for many years until her retirement. She was a Trustee at Divine Mercy Parish and also served on the finance council. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and also had her certificate as a Master Gardner. Lee also had a great fondness for helping animals.


Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Cendrowski Blazejewski, sister of the late John Blazejewski, and Irene O’Donnell, sister-in-law of the late Stephanie Blazejewski, and Rose Taylor, she is survived by her husband of 54 years Gilbert W. Lugossy, her brother Arthur B. Blazejewski of Hopewell, sister Pearl Capes and her husband Joseph of Pennington; in-laws, Frank and Eileen Lugossy; nieces, Jackie Wighton and husband Peter, and Cathy Plymack, nephews, John Blazejewski and his wife Elizabeth, and Jody Capes and his wife Heather; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.


The family of Mrs. Lugossy would like to thank the staff of CHS at Hopewell and the staff of the Greenwood House for all of their care and attention given to Lee.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, 11 a.m. at St. James Church, 115 East Delaware Avenue, Pennington, NJ 08534. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Capital Health, 1 Capital Way, Suite 361, Pennington NJ 08534, or Sacred Heart Parish, 343 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ 08608, or an animal shelter of the donor’s choice.


Arrangements are under the direction of Christopher Merlino and his staff of the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton.
