January 9, 1966 - February 5, 2021
Melvin Antonio Figueroa Manrique, 55, of Trenton, passed away peacefully February 5, 2021 at Capital Health Systems @ Fuld.
Born in Salcaja Quetzaltenango Guatemala, he was a longtime Trenton area resident. Melvin was employed as an LPN/Medical Assistant with Chestnut Hill Lodge.
He lived a life full of love, he served and protected all whom he loved. Melvin was an example of perseverance, always fighting for his dreams. His beautiful smile reflected happiness and it could light up a room. He was always a ray of sunshine and was the life of the party
Left behind to grieve his passing are his parents, Juan Jose Figueroa and Transito E. Manrique; loving wife, Frida Figueroa; children, Henry, Cindy, Yeison, and Kevin Figueroa, Andrea, Maria and Yoeli Godinez; siblings, Victor, Berlinda, Maynor and Jose Figueroa; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The family is praying for eternal rest for his soul, so that he may rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him, Amen
Visiting hours for family and friends will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will begin PROMPTLY at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday February 13, 2021 at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home 30 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Yardville, NJ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 151 North Warren Street, Trenton, NJ 08608.
(If you are unable to arrive at 8:00 a.m. sharp, please meet us at church for the mass at 9:00 a.m.).
Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
