Richard A. Zeis, 88, of Lakewood, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Fountain View Care Center in Lakewood.
He was a Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War. In his spare time he loved boating, and was a Member of the Cozy Cove Marina in Island Heights for 30 years He retired from Acme, in Trenton after 38 years of service. He also enjoyed classical music and authored several books. Richard was a Gentlemen and a gentle man.
Son of the late Anthony and Claire Marrotti Zeis, brother of the late Donald Zeis, and nephew of the late Elizabeth Payton.
He is survived by his companion of 19 years Jean Mauro, several cousins, and good friend Tom Grifinn.
Relatives and friends may attend a visitation on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton. A Catholic prayer service will be held 11 a.m. at the Memorial Home with local clergy officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
